    Problems with my Black Butter

A little over 3 weeks ago I was feeding my Black Butter for the 4th time and he caught some paper towel in the corner of his mouth when he struck the mouse. I took the Hemostats and gently pushed down on the paper towel and it came right out, but he let go of the mouse about a minute after. Ever since then he has shown no interest in eating and i am not sure what to do... He was eating f/t fuzzy mice when it happened but I have also tried live rat pinks and he doesn't even come out of his hide. I finally saw him cruising his tub a couple nights ago so I dropped a live rat pink in and after about 15 minutes he was back in his hide showing no interest again...

Sounds like he got spooked and has gone off feed for a bit. Experience tells me he should show interest again, but it might just take a bit. As long as he's still coming out and drinking and there's no obvious "trauma" I wouldn't worry too much.

Thanks for the reply. I figured it would just take time for him to calm down. Right now my plan is to clean out his tub and weigh him when I get home. Then leave him alone as much as possible and don't offer food for 14 days (since waiting 7 days between each offering didn't work). Sound good? Anyone have a better idea? I hope he comes around soon.. It wouldn't bother me if he was bigger but he is just so small...
