    Fire Babies?

As I understand it, fire babies can look pretty normal. So how do you know if you have a fire baby?
The question being... do either of these babies look like fires?

Those do not look like fires to me. Even low quality fires have distinct headstamps, these babies have none.

supposedly the pairing was firefly to pastel. The photo of the "sire" is a beautiful snake to be sure. Maybe these are his, but... just normal.

I mean basically fires have this light head stamp. Like a little part of there head is really white. Similar to tha of a vanilla. You just have to know it I guess

Fires have a reddish tinted skull with that head spot in the middle.
Speckling down low on the sides and a clear belly.

    Hatchling...

    Hatchling belly...

1 month later in brighter light the colors coming in nicely after another shed...

    Re: Fire Babies?

Thanks. I am not familiar with fires at all. Nice to know about the head markings. Can anyone post a good example? I have been looking at the light heads of the pictures I can find online, but there are very few baby pictures.

All of the fires I've seen have clear belly's, but I can't say for a fact that all are clean bellied.
No speckling on the belly like yb's, but some down the sides on this one, not sure on others.
I have a clutch with 6 fires in it due to come out of their eggs in the next day or two, I'll post the clutch up when they do
