Not quite sure how to explain this..

But my BP, who I just recieved tuesday.. is a lot less active now? He was all over the place the past week and now he just is sitting? He's just a hatchling too. Is he just calming down now? I feel like I'm over exaggerating, but I lifted his hide up because he hadnt moved in a while and he didnt even move, or look around. so i moved him to a different part of the cage and once again, very little response. What's going on? My temperatures are all fine. D: Im worried.

He was nervous and exploring his new home, and now he is calm and happy. Happy ball pythons don't move around much except when they're hungry.

That's the stranger part. He probably hasn't eaten for a little over a week. I start him on a schedule tomorrow...

He might also be preparing for a shed. Ball pythons hide away a lot when they're getting ready to shed.

Gahhh! I'm probably more stressed than my little guy right now! D: I know he has already shed once, but I don't know exactly when. I just hope he eats tomorrow..

Just calm down! Ball pythons are more hardy than they seem. If he's a baby he'll shed fairly often. If he refuses food, don't panic. It's all part of owning a ball python. They can go months without food and be fine.

I wasn't going to freak out that much if he didn't take food the first time, but if he's going into shed then that's more feedings he is going to miss, I would feel more comfortable if he took one before he went into it. But, how long should I leave the mouse in if I'm feeding live? (The breeder had him on live, that's why I'm feeding live)

If you're feeding live I would leave it in for 10-15 minutes max, and always supervised to make sure it doesn't nibble on your BP.

The 2 month old I got about two weeks ago did this same thing, It freaked me out XD. I picked his hide up and he didn't move so I picked him up and he just sat calmly in my hand for a while before deciding to move. Mine is starting to go into shed though.

Of course. But I just checked in on him, and he hasn't moved back into his hide yet. This is making me extremely worried.
