Now dont get me wrong, I havent taken Plissken out to be handled for more than 5 minutes at a time and thats only twice a week. But I would like to know how you guys can tell when your BPs wich are used to being handled have had enough and should be put back for the day.

Also Im curious as to how often you handle your BPs that are well aclimated and used to being handled.

why wasit that you werent handling it much again? was it just cuz it was new? as long as its eating and there wasnt somethign esle...you canhandle it for longer. i can usually tell when mine hve had enough when they start getting fidgity. none of my ball pythons ever really have a problem with being held. i had a rat snake that would let me know when he didnt want to be held anymore though.

Basically, your bp doesn't ever exactly look foward to being picked up and played with. Not nearly as much as we do at least....

I can usually tell when my snakes get sick of play time because they'll stop moving around and tense up for a while. They'll usually freeze up and fix a stare on me or something nearby that might have caught their attention. It's hard to describe, but its pretty much just reading your snake, and that comes as you build more experience and a relationship with your snake.
