I just got home from work, and my baby nicaraguan with the neck kink is dead. He's very definitely stiff, it might have even happened this morning, I didn't have time to check all the snakes' tubs before work, and I don't even know if I'd be able to afford a necropsy anytime soon. Should I freeze it anyway just in case? The only signs anything was wrong was what looked like a regurge yesterday. I wasn't certain it was, but I decided I would skip his next feeding anyway just in case. I guess his neck kink might have complicated things. His breeder had been pretty confident that it would be less noticeable as he grew, but on a little noodle of a boa it was really visible and definitely affected how he moved (I'm good friends with the girl who bred him, and was fully aware of the kink beforehand. He was only ever meant to be a pet). He'd had a clutch mate who's kinking was more severe that'd had to be put down because his quality of life was definitely affected.
