If they didn't use a Superfire, the odds gods smiled on them.

I have a clutch of 4 eggs hatching now from a het red x Cinny and I was lucky enough to get 3 Gargoyles and 1 cinny.

All fires is a nice clutch though!

Then that is great odds. The calculated odds theoretically should have been 50/50 but could technically go either way

    That's great odds.
All the eggs had 50% of becoming normal and 50% of becoming fires.
A member here just hatched out an entire clutch of mojaves from a mojavexnormal pairing.

    The odds of going 5 for 5 on a 50% chance are (.5)^5 = 3.125% or 1 in 32.

Hitting craZy odds is one of the fun parts of breeding. Last year I had two clutches of all morphs - both codom to codom pairings.

On the other hand my first two snakes were a spider and pastel bc I wanted to make bees (this was back when they were still thousands of dollars). I paired them three times and have made lots I pastels and spiders and normals but have yet to produce a bee. Go figure.

    Re: What are the Odds

I produced a clutch of all normals from a normal female I bred three different codom males to.

The clutch before that I made a 1.4 of lessers from 6 eggs.

I guess the fun is the not knowing whats in the eggs until the end.

    Re: What are the Odds

I just hatched 3.3 pieds and a normal from pied X het pied. The het pied female was a 25% chance het pied I proved last year. So that made up for some much less lucky clutches this year.
