The male spider we got the other day seems pretty stressed still, while the female we got at the same time is acting totally fine.
They are in separate 10G tanks (we plan on getting a rack in the near future), the temps are right, humidity is a little high.. in the 60's to low 70's. He has two hides, one on each end, but he doesn't go in them. He just lays out in the open. The female has the exact same setup, and she uses both her hides, and comes out to explore every now and then. When I stick my hand in there to move his thermometer/hygrometer (he always knocks it over so I can't read it) or to change his water, he hisses at me. He's also extremely head shy.
Is this just stress from being in a new environment or is the humidity messing with him?
