This morning my little guy made my day with a perfect shed. When I took him out to look him over, I noticed dried blood in the shed. I know that's not unusual, but I'm concerned about what appears to be some shed that is stuck to and possible tangled on one of his spurs. I tried to gently grab it and see if I could slide it off, but no doing. Seems pretty on there. He didn't seem to mind me trying so I don't believe it bothered him. I'm just not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

A pic of my little Cherile shed!

I don't know about blood being typical...

Um.., I suggest soaking for a little while then trying to work it off. I never even knew that spurs shed too...

it is normal to have blood in the shed. they dont atually shed their spurs. something about the skin being ripped of around them makes them bleed...ive never heard any certain reason as to why they bleed so thats my guess.
liek ballking said...soak it and pull it off. or leave it on and let whatever happens, happen.
