First off I'm sorry if this is in the wrong area. I got a beautiful reduced pattern normal girl who weighs 3000g in hopes her reduced pattern would be genetic as to make nicer babies. Well turns out I got a gravid snake from the guy, she was locked to an albino, a dinker male, a mojave, and a spider. My question is this, If I get only normal babies do I
A) Keep them all and use one of the males to breed to my albino girl and prove them out to sell for more
B) Sell them as normals at normal price and tell the buyer there is a chance they are het

Feel free to correct any misunderstandings...but my opinion would be B) sell them off as normals and mention there is a slight chance they could be het.albino.

Generally, you have a 25% chance per egg that the albino was the daddy. Which means each normal looking baby is 25% possible het. Even if you kept and raised all of them, and proved out one male, there is still a chance that the other normals may be sired from one of the other 3 males. (split clutch) Seems like a lot of time and effort for babies that are 25% ph, and having to prove each of them. Just my 2 cents Good luck with your babies!

Yeah that's what I would do. I would sell the normals as normals. There is such a tiny chance that they are het. albino that it's not worth your time to try and prove them. Hopefully you get some co-dom babies. Keep us updated?

If they are all normals, there is a decent chance the albino was the father. I'd sell the male as normals since you can be sure, and if you have the room holdback the girls as poss het albino and see if you can prove them out, if not you'll have breeder normal girls.

Well, the albino or the dinker male normal. This option would also mean he would need to purchase a male albino (or 100%het) to prove the females out (seeing how he mentioned a female albino already in his collection). Seems like too much trouble for het albinos. If he's looking for breeder normals there's no harm in keeping them of course...

That's one of the problem when pairing a recessive male to a normal female along with some dom and co-dom males.

If all the babies are normal looking you have no idea who the sire is, it could be the albino or the other males and you just lucked out, or it could be a double sired clutch albino and another male and you luck out.

Knowing that I would not waste my time holding back a male to waste on your albino female, not at the price you can get a guaranteed het albino for.

And I doubt that I would waste time and space raising females either. The reason behind this is you have to weigh space time raising animals up that may or may not produced a visual versus the price of the visual you are trying to produce, and albino are very affordable.

In the even all the offspring would be normal looking, they would be sold as normal at least the males the female if you have the room and want to hold them back why not?

That is the key term here. Proven het males are dirt cheap.
I just sold one that weighed in at almost 1000g for $50 and I did prove him.

It was my understanding multi sired clutches were really rare?
I'm hoping for mojave babies so I can hold back one girl. If they are normals I may keep a girl or two if they are het albino cool if not no biggie can always use more breeders
