question
My boyfriend and I have a Hogg Island Boa. We're considering getting another snake. Cleopatra has a huge enclosure so we were wondering if its possible to another snake in there with her like you can with BPs? And if you can does it have to be another HIB?

To be honest with you, it's not even good to do with ball pythons. Snakes are not communal creatures in general and will get stressed out if they are stuck in an enclosure with another snake. Another thing to consider is that when you house two snakes together, if one of them is sick then the other one is almost bound to get the same thing. And boas have a much lower tolerance than balls and a much higher prey drive, which could lead to "accidents" especially if one boa is smaller than the other. Boas have been known to try to eat other snakes if they're kept together and they think they're big enough to.
TL;DR: it's not good to house any snakes together unless it's temporary for breeding purposes.

It is NOT recommended for BPs and I would assume that its the same for boas. Maybe somebody else has a different opinion . . .

I wouldn't recommend putting another boa in with your Hog, or any other snake for that matter. Just too many risks involved: you're better off getting a new enclosure for any new addition you get (just practice proper QT for your Hog's sake).
BTW it's Hog with one "g", not Hogg

No snakes should ever be housed together regardless of species. It is NOT recommended for BPs and it is NOT recommended for boas. If someone told you it would be ok, to be honest, they don't know what they are talking about. The reasons have been listed above, but here's further proof you shouldn't ever do this.........
