    What is she doin?

ok so my female pin is driving me crazy. She had what I assume was a post ovy shed about 30 days ago (didnt write down the exact date) She at times will be in a perfect coil or laying upside down. Other times she will be stretched out or laying folded. Is this normal or should I still expect eggs. This is my first year breeding and she is driving me crazy.

This is normal. Most girls don't lay 30 days after their pre lay shed. I'd like to see pics of her though, if you don't mind sharing.

Keeping track of sheds is the best way imo to know where you are in the breeding process.
Did you see an ovy or are you guessing she ovy'd?

My guess is if she's doing the laying upside down and funny folds and stretched out is you'll have eggs soon.
Its not always 30 days and some shed while in ovulation so the shed may be off by a few days give or take.
I have also heard of some females laying their clutches 40 days after PLS.
    Pictures would help though.

Oh yeah!Definite building there! Expect eggs! And yes, the laying on her back and folding is normal.

She's about to blow. You can see she is ridgebacked and you can count the eggs in the profile pic. Just be patient. I think MasonC2K had one of his girls go over 40 days past PLS this year. Good luck

    Re: What is she doin?

From the pick I see 5, but I can't see the whole snake. You may get even more. It's very exciting. My daughter did her first pairing this year and her snake layed 6 nice ones on July 3rd. The day before she went, she was moving and twisting her body through her own coils and then calmed down and layed in a perfect coil but mostly on her side for the night. Woke up the next morning and there were already 3 egs out and watched her lay the last 3. That was very cool.
