    a little help please?

I recently purchased this male hog island from a guy on kingsnake, the snake seems to be in good health other then the fact that he has this sore on his neck just behind his head, I would really like some feedback on to what might have caused this..

    Thanks.

    Re: a little help please?

I noticed the sore a few days after I purchased him, the sore looks the same as it did when I first noticed it.. so I am assuming it was there before.. It is possible it came from me, but the way the sore looks I don't think it happened while in my care.. but that is why I am posting here, to see if it is something I should be worried about.

It looks like a pretty big gash from the picture, is it an open wound?

Oh my...It looks like a burn from a heat source or maybe scale rot? I would bring it to the vet. Always examine your animals when you receive them. Now it might be too late to bring it up to the seller.
Ball Pythons are like Pokémon. Gotta Catch 'Em All!
