She just couldn't wait....
Something funny just happened that I just had to tell you guys. Today is feeding day, and I had Nala's rat warming up in front of her cage getting nice and toasty--and just when the rat was done heating up, out she pops from her cool side hide and is right up to the glass. I barely got the cage door open when she shoots halfway out of the cage to get the rat--which I barely had in the feeding tongs!! I managed to get it in her cage when she grabbed it again--and down it went in the blink of an eye! I guess she must've been REALLY hungry--LOL!

I have a couple that smell the rats thawing and shoot out of the tub for them, then hang down the side like a GTP.

Yep,
Pretty much all of mine do that.
I now know to open the tubs wearing bike gauntlets on feeding day and to make sure I'm a fair distance away while doing so.
Next move is a riot shield and a bat.

Hehe...yeah, no prescenting is required around here...in fact, it's dangerous. I've got one that I make sure he gets his rat first (after it's been thawed and warmed in an entirely different room) before he realizes it's there. By the time he's snatched his, everyone else is cruising and waiting. Gotta watch where they are in the tub before opening them, and then be really quick with the rats!
