By HBP I mean high blood pressure. 2 months ago i went to the doctor because i wsa feeling a bit odd(numbness in legs and arms) and when he gave me a physical he said my blood pressure was a little high at 130/80 with 120(and lower)/80 being normal. after i had blood work done he also said my cholesterol was a little high. after looking up HBP symptoms i did notice i was getting some of them like frequent headaches especially when annoyed/irritated and sometimes i would space out for a few seconds before realizing i was spacing out. the doc said the best treatment to lower both my HBP and cholesterol is to eat healthy foods and exercise(since i havent been very active lately). for a month now ive been going to the gym every other day and running on the bicycle for an hour as well as using other equipment(wouldnt hurt to build muscle lol). since then i have noticed a slight difference in that i dont get headaches(except like once a week) and i dont feel numbness. ive been using those arm blood pressure check things at walmart(dont know how accurate they are, even they even are) and the numbers come out to me being in pre-hypertension, to stage 1 hypertension.

my question is, if anyone reading this that has hypertention/HBP, how do you deal with it? symptoms? diet? exercise?
