My husband got a new toy, a street fighter?

I got the bike as a parts bike for the tank, and he was excited that it was already chopped up so he could play with it. He has been wanting a bike to tear apart and leave the plastics off, but I said no to a couple bikes bc they were in great shape. I got all the plastics, guages, seat, etc for the bike, they will be spares for my bike. It cost me $200 and the motor only has 3k miles on it. It was a friend of my dad who sold it to me. Looks pretty different for an '03 250 ninja doesn't it!

It was a salvage bike 2 owners ago. We think it was stolen since the ignition looks newer and the gas tank lock is completely busted and almost looks like melted metal inside the keyhole.

Is ebay the best place to find parts/seats and whatnot for this thing. I really think he needs to get a more comfortable seat

With a bike like that you can get parts from any other bike and make it work. It's all about preference Of the rider. eBay is a good place to start, but you can also fine stock parts from a motorcycle salvage yard that is in your area. What does the bike all need?

It needs a new starter solenoid, which we just got a lawn mower one for mine when it went bad. I already ordered a new tank cap. I think all it really needs after that is lights. The people before rode it, I'm not sure how since there isn't a single light on the thing. I'm not sure if he wants to use the old gauges or not though.
