Opinions wanted..
New to the forum, so first: Hi!
Secondly, I'd like some opinions. I'm looking to add another female to my collection of bps. I'd like a more diverse collection (this hobby will double as a class room project as I am a high school biology teacher)
As of now I have:
0.1 spider het hypo
1.1 pastels
1.0 super pastel
I have a budget of 500 and I'm looking to trade with my pastels, or sell, to help boost my budget.
What's are some good options for single or double trait females..

If you sell your male pastel and or super pastel, you will probably end up with a budget around $800-$900 (maybe).
With that, you can get quite a few good females. It depends on what you like really. Lesser (aka butter) is popular, mojave, enchi, pinstripe. You can also get some double females like bumblebees, lemonblasts, pastel yellowbellies.
Which of your collection do you want to keep? You could also get a female hypo combo like pastel hypo (POG - pastel orange ghost), hypo black pastel, or hypo mojave. All are pretty cool looking.
What kinds of combos do you want to produce?
Here ya go:

I would select a morph you might be interested in (let's say mojave). Click on the picture of the mojave, and look to the left side of the screen where it says "Related Morphs". This should give you several combos you can make with that morph. Refresh the page to get different combos. Alternately, you can look at the "Big morph list" under "Morph List" at the top toolbar.

If I were you I would sell the male and female pastels and keep the super and the spider.
Then I would get a some kind of hypo female from the BEL complex (lesser, butter, mojave) and maybe a female pinstripe or some other single gene female.
Then you will have a nice classroom sized collection that will produce some nice offspring.
I would probably skip the bumblebees just because you already have pastel and spider in your collection so you might as well just produce your own and let it be a learning experience for the kids. Plus with these you will have Incomplete dominant, dominant, recessive, heterozygous and homozygous to teach them all about it

thanks..
I'm most definitely keeping both the spider and the super pastel; The super is from Evan Stahl. The spider's het hypo is very interesting to me. I picked her up from a friend locally who needed money (150 - i think that's a wonderful deal) I know for sure she got the spider from Mark Sisco. But shes also only 250g at this point... so....
I was thinking may be a bumble bee, because I personally love the killer bees and my spider isn't available to breed for some time..
I also like the lesser/butter.. maybe one of these with het hypo?
Or maybe an Ivory, or BEL (mojavexlesser)
It's just so hard... I love genetics, and I love bps...

Hypo lessers/butters are SWEET. That's not a bad idea. Since you have hypo in your collection already, I would get morphs that look good in hypo form .

yes selling or trading on the forums should work out fine.
If you feel uneasy about it, ask for their full name and you can do a search on faunaclassifieds.com and check out the board of inquiry. If they have any feedback on there.
You can also sell or trade on that website as well. There's plenty of honest and respectful people out there. Just use you're instinct.
Also be careful because I'm not sure if you saying what you have to sell in that last post is against the terms of bp.net.
It may be considered advertising in the wrong forum section. Things like that need to be posted in the for sale section.

It's against the rules to advertise the snakes you want to sell in any other forum section other than the classifieds section of the forum here: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/forum...tion-or-Wanted
You can also try faunaclassifieds.com - You can post your snakes for sale - but make sure to read the rules associated with that section of the forum.
What makes you nervous about selling on forums?
