Cage plans
Does anyone have cage plans for at home ball cages? We have 2 balls and the need new cages, can't afford to buy the ones I want. The cage must be the display type and at least 36" long. The snakes are in my boys room and they love watching them at night move around. Thanks for you're help!

Which is why I said that that thread didn't have any plans but might help give you ideas to build your own.
All you need are 6 sides, at least one should be glass. The hardest part is deciding what to make it from. Wood is the easiest to get ahold of, but is hard to heat through and doesn't handle humidity. Melamine is more resistant to humidity but equally if not harder to heat through. It is also very heavy. PVC/polycarbonate plastic sheets are the best choice, but can be hard to find and cost more.
You can easily find tracks for sliding glass doors, or hinges for swing doors.
With a little bit of time and thought a cage isn't too difficult to build.

Re: Cage plans
I thought about wood, with a piece of plexiglas glass on the bottom, on top of the wood, to put the heating mat in.

Search Craigslist
Search using reptile, snake, or python seems to bring up the best results. I see 36 inch tanks for sell all the time. I am in a big city though.

The multiwall is great to work with it also is a super insulator. I build a variation on this using regular al angle and bolted through. The only comment I have and this applies for any encloure is to use PVC on the bottom (not PVCx) it is dense and heavy but resists sagging and is super easy to heat through.

That one looks cool, but 2 kids and 2 snakes. So that means 2 cages.
