Snake ate, saw blood
My snake ate today and when he struck the mouse, he struck him on the head, leaving the mouse face in his mouth.....I saw blood after this, and I don't really know how to get a pic since its in his mouth, but I saw the blood on his "chin" and in his mouth....is it possible the little rodent bit him in side of his mouth somewhere, have you ever heard of this happening before?!?! If so, will he be ok? Will it heal faster than bitten scales?

Probably, it is from the mouse and him constricting it.

As in, the blood came from the mouse, not the snake. I've seen good amounts of blood spill from a mouse that was being constricted.

Is the blood from the rodent itself? I know mine will sometimes bleed from the nose or mouth aftr being constricted....

My ball constricts there is always blood (from the rodent)
Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened.

OK, just making sure, it's just the way he bit the mouse right on the face and the mouses head being in his mouth it seems like it possibly could have bitten my BP in the mouth....

It is possible he bit your snake if it was a live mouse. But chances are your snake one that battle and is was mouse blood.

There are LOTS of capilaries in the head of any animal and when suffocation or constriction happens it is very possible the vessles in the mucus membranes such as eyes nose and mouth can burst causing bleeding. Don't worry
