    Ball python questions.

I Have had snakes in the past and have a few now. I just got a new 3 year old ball a week ago and I have noticed that there are some spots on her scales that look dry or like scars, and there are some spots on her belly and it is a little pink. I believe she is going into shed. She has been soaking in her water a lot and seems fine. Can anyone tell me what the spots are? Sorry my camera isn't the best but I tried taking pics the best I could. Thanks ahead of time for any help.

From the photos looks like scars to me.
And yes the pink belly is from going into shed.

Keep that humidity up! Some of those spots could just be dry spots from the impending shed. Hope for a good shed!

    Re: Ball python questions.

    Hi,

It looks like the top layer of the scales came off with the last shed - it's fairly common and nothing to worry about.

Just get the humidity right rather than bathing her.
