Pewter question
So I'm looking at possibly picking up a pewter that is the product of a cinnamon x pastel. I am having a hard time judging the color and quality. Looking at many pics I have found online, they seem to be all over the place as far as color and pattern! Any recommendations as what I'm looking for? Or is this a morph that has a wide variety of color/pattern?
5.3 normals, 3.1 mojave, 2.4 pastels, 1.0 yellow belly, 1.1 cinnamon, 1.1 het pied, 1.0 pastel/yellowbelly
Also: Burmese, Retic, RTBs, kenyans, dumerils, hognose, corns, milk, king, uromastyx, leopard geckos, bearded dragons, dart frogs, tortoises, tarantulas, cockatiels, reef tanks, dogs, cats, chickens, goat, rats and???

All morphs even normals have a wide variety of color and pattern thats what makes them so fun! Everyone looks for something different in a snake.

Re: Pewter question
like you said yourself they come in different colors and patterns. if your getting your snake from a trusted breeder in my opinion it's all up to you if you like the pewter you see go for it. when i pick out snakes theres a couple things i look for like color, pattern, blushing and sometimes i look for a unique mark that sets them apart from other snakes.
1.0 albino
0.1 black pastel 66% het. albino
1.0 cinny

With pewters I like to look for great blushing and pattern.
If he's visually pleasing to you and comes from a breeder you trust then that's all you need.

With pewters I always look for blushing and pattern. I like the darker pewters (black pastel) myself

I would take a look at the parents if it is at all possible. You will want to make sure that the pastel parent didn't brown out too bad as an adult or your pewter will too, and it would be nice too get a look at the cinny parent too so that you can see how much blushing it looks like as an adult. Good luck on getting one and post pictures once you do! You can always post pictures of some snakes that you are looking at to see which one people here like the best, but ultimately what matters is whether or not you like it.

I have actually seen the parents. It's actually the same mother to all of my pastel females. She is amazing, and huge! I have never seen another pastel this big and still yellow! This pewter came from a clutch of 15! This is the best pic I have for now, the color is a bit off but you can get the idea:
5.3 normals, 3.1 mojave, 2.4 pastels, 1.0 yellow belly, 1.1 cinnamon, 1.1 het pied, 1.0 pastel/yellowbelly
Also: Burmese, Retic, RTBs, kenyans, dumerils, hognose, corns, milk, king, uromastyx, leopard geckos, bearded dragons, dart frogs, tortoises, tarantulas, cockatiels, reef tanks, dogs, cats, chickens, goat, rats and???
