Why are Axanthic morphs not the most popular morph?!

Obviously, beauty is in the eye of the beholder lol but I think that axanthics are simple BEAUTIFUL! I was just wondering why they seem to not be as popular as other morphs?

    thanks everyone!

I like them, but most brown out so much as adults that it really ruins it for me. Obviously some keep their colors better than others but most do not.

The fact that they are recessive could also play into the equation. Who wants to put that much time/ money into a project that might turn out to be less than spectacular.

I'm really excited about the new Black Axanthics. Super expensive still but it looks like it could promise an axanthic that keeps its colors

I think the main problem is the drastic change some of them go through. I think as babies, they are extremely difficult to pass up, but as adults they seem to fall short.

I don't want you people to go "Does MY axanthic look browned out ?" because they vary. Not all of them keep their sweet silvery colors into adulthood. People don't seem to like that kind of change. I think the axanthic clown and the axanthic pied are the best axanthic combos aside from the AX pastel stuff .

Clowns are recessive, yet they are in high demand. The difference is that the clown can really mess with the pattern, leaving you guessing "what would this look like?". A clown combo can look NOTHING like a normal, no matter what age it is. Axanthic morphs as adults can look slightly different as adults, but most people probably wouldn't appreciate the subtle difference .

I absolutely adore axanthic morphs, they're actually one of my top three favorites. And as Aaron said, I'm really quite excited for the black axanthic that's supposed to retain it's color. Can't wait till I'll be able to own snakes!

The axanthic morph is my favorite out of all of them. If you want to get into them you need to realize they dont look the same as adults. With axanthic it is all about the combos.

My favorite axanthic combos are these
    axanthic black pastel
    axanthic fire
    axanthic lesser
    axanthic super pastel

I like them, and plan on breeding them. The way I look at is that I wont mind having some browned adults because if im breeding I will be able to enjoy the looks of the babies I hatch out while I have them.
