Some of you might remember this post I made a while ago, about a stray kitten we had taken in.

Well we found out a few weeks ago that she's not a she, but a he! His new name is Rascal (which he lives up to) and he and I have bonded. He runs up to me and weaves in and out of my legs, purring and cries for me to pet him and give him any attention I can. Secretly, I feel pretty honored and awesome that I'm the only one he's warmed up to this much, he even prefers me to my boyfriend! He likes to follow me around, but if I turn around and "see" him he runs under whatever's nearest and "hides" until I stop looking.Rascal's a total doll and I'm so very glad he wasn't too feral to be domesticated. He's got the most beautiful markings and tail, he's actually spotted on his side, with that wonderful raccoon-stripe tail. He's fit right in with us, and I'm so happy we were able to save at least one kitten from living the rest of his life feral. He's currently getting all his shots (we've been taking him into the vet, but he was too young/underweight for some of them so we've been going back every month as he grows to get all his rounds) and once he's been fully vaccinated we will get him neutered. However, we are unsure if he will ever be an outside cat, as we don't know if he will run off and never come back. Luckily when our lease is up, he will be going with my boyfriend and have a huge house to run around in and another cat to play with, so even if he is a strictly indoor cat he won't be unhappy.
A happy ending!
Here's a video of him I took today, so much different from the cowering, untrusting kitten in the picture! And he loves being scratched like a dog, I have NO idea why.
