Can An Egg With Veins Be Dead?

So I've had an egg from my 5/10 clutch that is just flimsy. It has veins. But it's just very soft. The closest thing I can think of is a water balloon that's had to air let out.

All the other eggs are plump and firm.

I was told earlier that as long as an egg has veins to keep it in.

It does seem like this one is lost though.
