    Question Tubs and racks

    Hey everyone,

I've been doing a lot of searching and comparing for racks and tubs and have come to the conclusion that there is not many reviews or guides that could help a new owner decide what is best for what they want.

I heard mixed things from all kinds of sites and different people.

    Like

Iris tubs have feet on them and can damage flexxwatt.

Sterilite and Rubbermaid change sized and dimensions frequently.

Some tubs have ridges and ledges that make cleaning difficult.

    And the list goes on.

I am looking to get a rack that is a 15/32 or shoebox/bootbox for juvies to sub-adult and the smaller males. Then a larger tub for breeding and holding the big guys and gals.

Could you please post your preferred rack and tub system and give a brief explanation of pro's and con's

Hopefully this will help many people looking for a wealth of knowledge at one place.

I prefer Iris tubs. More specifically:http://www.containerstore.com/shop/s...000166&N=71227

    15qt - Our Men's Shoe box
    32qt - Our Boot box

Their heights are nearly identical so you can interchange 2 15qt on a shelf or one 32qt on a shelf.

They do have annoying feet on the bottom, but I just cut or melt them off.

I like CB-70 tubs for adults. They work well in a lot of different rack systems and are used by many companies. If you get those for adults, you can later buy a rack system that uses them and you will have extra tubs for cleaning day or to expand.

IRIS USA hasn't changed tub sizes since I've been in the hobby. Their MCB-S Sweater Box tubs are great for young BPs, and I use the MCB-L Sweater Box tubs for my adult males.

Reptile Basics makes racks for IRIS tubs.
