    Should I get another pastel?

For breeding efforts (making the nicest bees & killerbees possible!) would it be best to pick up another pastel? My male is considerably browned out (he's also around 4 years old) and I dunno if it'd be worth trying to breed him. Also when I first bought him, the guy said he has some lemon pastel in his line...dunno if that even means anything since he's not one.

    Just wondering, here's some pix
I'd NEVER get rid of him though! He was my first bp ever and takes the credit for starting the addiction.

ummm I thought spider x spider was one of those morphs that have breeding problems? Does it work if they have other genes mixed with the spiders? Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember reading something about the spiders being mysterious because something would always happen when bred together?

I don't think anyone knows, because I think the eggs for that homozygous spider just don't appear or die, there's some mystery still to what's going on with it and it seems like there is some kind of issue there. But in any case I wouldn't be going that route.

I'd get a male pewter and breed him to my bee.
Aaaand if I ended up getting a male bee he'd never go with my spider morphs, I don't really like messing with those problem genes.
