    What's a good hide for a juvi?

Just wondering what you guys use as hides for a 500-700g juvi. Something cheap that I could pick up at the dollar store or wallymart.

Order chinese food and the plastic container general tsous chicken comes in makes a perfect hide. Just cut a hole in it.

My 500gram cinny boy still fits in his.

The hides from Reptile Basics are also very reasonably priced and look good. I have them too and love them!

Re: What's a good hide for a juvi?

I just picked up some black 1 gallon buckets at the dollar store about 10 inches in diameter. I cut them so that it was about 4 inches up from the bottom and then cut an entry like a mouse hole shape from a cartoon. I had to drag the lines a few times but I was able to cut them with a carpenters knife. Cost me $4.32 and about an hour for 4 hides. Here is a photo.

Thanks. And another plus, the buckets were made in America which was a surprise for a dollar store item.

lol mike I just ate general TSO (yes tso) chicken for lunch AND supper but only got styrofoam

I just got some tupperware containers from the dollar store and cut holes (made sure there were no rough edges at all) in them and painted them black with non toxic acrylic paint.
