Help me pick my first project?

So, i've budgeted everything i can think of to get started in breeding ball pythons (turns out, if i quit smoking, i can quite easily afford it along with a little bit of my savings)

ANYHOW, i need opinions on what i should pick. I'm going to start somewhat small, i currently have 1 unsexed normal bp, and i plan on getting 3 more. That's where YOU come in. I need some ideas on what morphs to get, and i'd like to eventually do some combos (so no telling me to get all one particular morph, just because they are your fav )

*edit* i'd like to keep the total cost of all 3 snakes at or under $2500

What kind of combos do you like? Do you like darker morphs? Lighter morphs? Patterned morphs? patternless ect ect.

A good basis is getting a few single gene females and multi gene males.
So a mojave and black pastel female are always good to start with.
A super pastel lesser or something is a good starter male.

Recessive projects are always great. I'm a fan of clown and hypo combos. So maybe get morph hets too.

Yeah you really gotta think about what it is you want to produce and then go for it you know... I plan on doing a nice hypo project and I think I will work with a lot of recessives in my future plans so now I am planning around that. Clowns and hypos are super cool. Anything cool out there that you feel like you have to have?

And morph hets are a good way to produce expensive morphs on a budget!

have you seen black mojos? they are pretty tight. as long as we are talkin about black pastels... black pewters are cool too. but there really isnt a whole lot out there that I dont like. Have you checked out http://www.worldofballpythons.com/morphs/ yet? this has almost every morph produced it can be a big help in picking out projects or goals!

Lol, falls within the specified budget...and if anyone asks for suggestions of what they should get, I'm suggesting hypo. I'm over all that candy coatin', "get what you like" stuff....

Most definitely. They just glow you know. I just wish I had a real idea of what I wanted to do when I bought my snakes. I am not saying I regret buying them. I know exactly what I am going to do with them but now I am starting to look at collecting some het hypos to get a start on my hypo project.
