Field Herping Village Creek, TX (DUW)

I went field herping today along Village Creek in Southeast Texas. Here is what I found:

Gray rat (I think. Can anyone confirm?) in blue. I was headed back kinda bumbed that I hadn't seen a snake yet when my eyes stumbled upon this beauty; it made my day.

Most likely a baby Gulf Coast Toad

Green Anole. Can you spot the other critter in the picture?

    Butterfly

Some type of aquatic turtle shell.

    Shroom!

    Cheers,
    Lt. Dan
