    Bearded Dragon Tub?

Does anyone keep beardies in tubs, and if so, what size and bulbs do you use? If anyone has pictures, that'd be fantastic teaching aids!

I don't think tubs will work well. Bearded dragons need UV light and high basking temps. under tank heaters (which are the only effective way of heating tubs) don't work for bearded dragons.

As adults Bearded Dragons will need a very large cage. At least the size of a 40-50 gallon tank, but something like a 4'x2'x2' cage is much prefered.

Echoing everything people said above, tubs just wont work. My little girl was a pet store baby, and very small for her age when I brought her home, she hit 6 months and even though she was smaller and had a tail nip it was hard for her to turn around in a 40 gallon breeder. I moved her up to a custom 120 gallon (4x2x2) and even though she doesn't use it all everyday the more room the better!

Here are a few tub options that would work for BD. Or it may inspire your own design

Good finds but the freedom breeder would only be appropriate for hatchlings. The tubs are way too small even for juveniles. Also, babies kept in opaque tubs are going to be in for sensory shock when sent to a new home where they are kept in a clear enclosure.

I can't tell the dimensions of the Animal Plastics rack but it could work for adults if the dimensions are there. I do think there's going to be an issue with heat build up though if it uses tubs.

The best way to keep multiple adult or juvenile dragons is in stacked cages, not tubs. There are several companies that sell them. Here's one example:

Other options are to build them yourselves (if your comfortable wiring light fixtures) or finding a local carpenter/herp enthusiast to custom build it.

Thanks guys, I've got similar replies everywhere. I'm looking at investing in a 55 gallon with stand when I do get a beardie.
