Never tried it but some people say warm water with a drop of dawn soap.
Hope it helps.

Soaking the snake in water with a drop of dish soap will help get rid of the mites on the snake, but won't kill the mites or the eggs in the tank.
Also, soaking at this point in a shed, especially with dish soap, may cause more harm than good to the shedding process.

can i not leave the mites on the snake untill he has shed then when he has shed quickly get the snake sorted.. what would happen if the mites where left on the snake?

I know a lot of people are against this but when I got my corn snakes they had mites.I made up a NIX solution after the first treatment they were gone.Of course you have to treat everything to be safe.
I did a second treatment to be safe.

I'm guessing Provent-A-Mite isn't available in the UK either (since nobody has suggested it yet)? If not, I hope somebody has a better suggestion!
