    Need your feedback

I got this girl a year ago as a black pastel but she looks like a cinnamon. The guy I got her from did not produce her and got her at a show as a pet. Now that I bred her with a pastel lesser, the pewters came out looking like black pastel pewters.
Do you think the female is indeed a black pastel?

That's pretty interesting, as I would definitely think the adult was a cinny...there's actually nothing about her that would make me think black pastel. Looks incredibly similar to my big cinny girl as well.

But, they certainly are black pewter babies...so who knows?

I've researched pictures of black pastels and cinnys and that girl definitely looks like a cinny. But the pewters have pattern cosistent to a black pewter.

You are 100% accurate haha. I would be confused too. I wish you had a baby picture you could show us. Adult colors are so much different than baby colors.. Especially with this color AND pattern morph... I would have voted cinny as well.

Based on the babies, I guess you "proved" it to be black pastel

    x2 i agree

I would say shes definetly a black pastel after seeing those babies, but if you didnt put up pics of the babies i would have said that she was definetly a cinny.

    Black Pastel are variable

This girl IS a black pastel but yet looks like a Cinny, now how do I know for sure she is a Black Pastel? I produced her from Black Pastel to Normal pairing I hatched 4 Black Pastels from that clutch and she is the only one that look this way.

Above is the sire that produced her with one of her sibling.

If someone (the seller) tells you it is a Black Pastel there is no reason why you should not believe this person, there is not much to gain from trying pass a Black Pastel as a Cinny or vice versa
