    Post laying question.

I hope this is in the right place. I just had my first clutch of eggs get layed last night. How long should I wait to try and feed her? and, what is the best way to get her to start putting weight back on? I know that I posted questions on how to care for hatchlings, I was doing that for a friend that doesn't have internet access. Now I have females that are laying. I have another female that will probably be laying within the next 2 days. I'll post more in the breeding section. Thanks, Reesy.

You can feed her right away. I've had females lay in the morning and eat that evening. I put them on a regular feeding schedule and once in a while I may give them an extra meal. They gain their weight back quicker then you'd think...

    Re: Post laying question.

My girl went back on food about 1 week after she laid. I wanted to say that I washed her off after she laid and changed the bedding. I tried feeding a day later and she didn't eat. So after posting for sugestions, most of the replies stated to wash her very well and completely scrub out the tub. Which I did both and it had great success. I only wanted to tell you this because I feel this had alot to do with why she didn't eat right away. The folks on here help alot with feeding issues and this did the trick. Hope it helps.
