Not always in her hide, but not roaming.
Even during the day. I'll watch her just sit out in the open not moving for hours at a time. She sometimes will go back into her hides but I've been noticing her out of them. Is this okay? Her husbandry's spot-on, she's still eating (just chowed down a 22 gram mouse about two hours ago, as a matter of fact). Should I be worried or am I over-reacting? I know there's no point in trying to put her in her hide or whatever, but should I add a third? Maybe bigger ones? Her hides are just cheap 4 for $1 Wal-mart ones that I cut holes in but I think I have some bigger ones already stashed away. I'm thinking I'm worried about nothing, but who knows, right?

I wouldn't worry too much. My enchi het pied would hide behind his hide, above it, and to the side of it.... I thought it was strange, but it never bothered me. After I fed him, he went into his hide above the heat .

It's not even like she's by her hides. There's a big open space between her hides (she's in a 36 quart tub so she's got more space than she's going to need for a while) that she'll either curl up in or stretch out. I figured I was worrying over nothing but it's nice to have a second opinion all the same.

My adult BPs only have 1 hide over on the warm side, and they don't seem to mind hanging out in the front of the tub if they aren't in the mood to sit on the warm side. They will only retreat to their hides if I spook 'em, or put 'em back in their tubs lol.
You should invest in some RBI hides:

They're a little pricy, but they get the job done . I'd be annoyed if I spent $7 on a hide that my snake didn't want to use .

I don't see a problem as long as she is eating regularly.

Yeah, it's probably fine. You can throw a "mid-range-temperature" hide in there for her, but maybe she's just one that likes to stretch out and isn't especially neurotic. Some of them just aren't (and even my really paranoid animals tend to chill out as they get older and less snack-sized).

Sounds like she is just regulating her body temps. My pastel will sit in front of, behind, on the side of (where the heat tape goes along the bottom and the side of the rack) his tub sometimes for days each spot.

Re: Not always in her hide, but not roaming.
Take it as a compliment - she feels so comfortable and well adjusted that she doesn't feel the need to hide constantly!
That she's still eating is an excellent sign, and a good indicator of her level of comfort. If she's also shedding in one piece, I'd say you're completely golden!
