    Clown girl finally ate!!!!!

She had a crappy first week and I've left her alone unless it was a quick paper towel change or feed attempt once a week but she finally ate! Figuring I'd be lucky, I tried a f/t small rat first... Nope... Next week I tried a live small rat... Nope... Next I tried a live rat fuzzy/pup.... Nope..... I tried frozen fuzz/pup in case she was too scared of all the movement.... NOPE!!! Today, I had a live small mouse to give to my enchi het pied boy, but I realized I hadn't tried a mouse so I figured I'd see what happens...

I sat there for 15 minutes straight watching the clown tease me by slowly sniffing the mouse, then retreating... She was twitchy and kept retreating... The mouse sat next to the water dish for a few minutes and the clown gave up the hunt.. I took the water bowl and directed the mouse towards the clown... The mouse pooped on the clown's paper towel roll hide and that was enough.. The clown struck and killed the mouse! I stayed there until the mouse stopped moving, closed my closet, and 10 minutes later, the mouse was gone !!!!! I am sooooo happy!!!

    Pics!

I figure I warmed up the seat for Flippy (my kitty) so she took my seat and inspected the closet to make sure there were no signs of zombie mouse:

    Here is the magic happening!!!

Thanks! She's around 650 grams as empty as can be !!! So I wasn't too worried, but she just hadn't eaten in my care yet. This is a huge relief .. Hopefully she'll eat a bigger mouse on saturday..
