    Re: Looking for input

I'd say lesser....or maybe a seriously hot mojave....but most likely a lesser. Not seeing a combo, if there is one.

Ok, time for some fuller disclosure. BPLuvr sent me this photo earlier this evening and said the breeder was calling it a Butter. Honestly guys, I just didn't see it as a Butter. It looked much more Mojo to me...maybe even Mojo with a little something else going on.

But, now that you guys are saying Lesser, I'm second guessing myself.

BPLuvr, Looks like I may need to apologize for miss IDing this snake, but I still see more Mojo than Butter going on here.

EDIT: I asked BPLuvr to post this thread to get a wider point of view.

    Re: Looking for input

There's a LOT of variation among lessers and butters....AND even in a single individual snake, there's a lot of variation as it ages. The one in the OP's picture looks young. They tend to lighten up a fair amount as they age.

If the breeder says it's a butter, I don't see any reason to doubt it, although it's not the finest example of that morph that I've seen.

For the record, I think lessers and butters are essentially the same...just different lines of the same morph.

I agree 100%, which is why when other eyes started saying Lesser, I knew I might have miss ID'ed this BP

    Re: Looking for input

Easy to do...it does have a mojave-ish look to it.
