NEW - iPhone App for Pet Care and Pet Managment
Hello BP.net!
As a member of BP.net and owner of a growing collection of snakes, amphibians, and tarantulas, I am proud to introduce the international roll-out of a brand new iPhone app aimed Pet Care and Pet Status Tracking - with lots of useful features for us exotic pet lovers.
There is a lot of info about the app at it's web site here: Pet Pal - including a nice walkthrough of the features using Norman, my male Pastel BP.
http://www.petpalapp.com
The app does all the things you would expect a pet management app to do. You can store basic pet info - including name, ID, gender, birthdate, species, genetic variation, weight, size, vet contact info, pet sitter notes - as well as feeding records, vet records, habitat maintenance records, reminders, etc... but its the details, where I think this app really sets itself apart - especially with regards to our more exotic friends.
Integrated caresheet info!
So one of the neat features is the integrated caresheet database. You can lookup your animal species against a custom animal database and gather species details for each pet, including desired temperature range, desired humidity range, as well as the complete biological classification (taxonomic tree).
You can search for animals by common name, genus, species, and even breed/morph. This is all done using a custom database. I don't don't know of a complete species database that has a good population of common names as well as breeds / morphs. I am trying to create that database.
Right now, the caresheet info is limited to desired temp range, desired humidity range, and biological classification - but there is much more planned for the future.
Oh, and while entering all this important pet care data, and looking up important caresheet info - it looks pretty darn good!
Here are some screen shots:

Check it out! And please feel free to leave feedback!

A special note to all of you Android fans...
As a mobile app developer, I am well aware of the market dynamics, including the fervent enthusiasm for the Android market - however, being such a small developer (me, myself, and I), I can't possibly support two platforms at this time. I truly hope that eventually I will be able to support the Android market as well - but the truth is, if you want to survive making mobile apps, you have to start with the iPhone/iPad market first.
