Question about poo...
My bp has not pooped in probably about a month plus. She has at least 3 mice and a rat since her last movement and has a really bad case of sausage butt and her skin is stretching a bit around that area. Is there a way to tell if this need intervention? I understand there might not be but I figured I would ask. When applying very gentle pressure to the area it seems very bloated. She keeps eating just fine nut I am a little concerned that she hasn't gone yet. I know they go when they feel like it but I don't want to lose my first animal because I was not paying attention. Thanks in advance.

Re: Question about poo...
Knowing BPs, she's probably waiting for you to clean her cage.

What are her enclosure temps?

She just had the paper towels changed about 2 weeks ago and her temps are hot: 88-92 cool: 78-82 ambient 79 and humidity 59%

I'm betting she's about to go. Usually, sausage butt is a good thing.
Good luck with the incoming poop!

I hope so. She has had sausage butt for the last 3 weeks at least. Whenever it comes, it will be epic!

You should go ahead and weigh her now then again after she goes. It's always fun to see how much they can drop in one sitting.

That's a promise.

I do try to weigh her on a regular basis. She is young (estimated hatch date of last Christmas) and I like to track her growth. Het last weigh in before her first rat was 325g.
