    What's in a name?

@BronxZoosCobra complains that only "cute" animals get names:

    http://www.pawnation.com/2012/03/17/...a-name/#page=1

For the record all of the animals in my collection have names, and none of them are Hissy or Bitey! (However, Mr. Nibbles.)

    That article is awesome!

And, I take all my snake names from the ancient world: Bacchus, Osiris, Jupiter, Mars, Cupid, Saturn, etc...

Next time you hear about the birth of an adorable new zoo baby with a cute name, take a moment to think of the spiders, snakes, mice, bats and the rest of the unnamed zoo animals. We are the nameless. We are the 99%. Occupy the zoo.
LOL Occupy the Zoo. I love that.

Ahaha that's awesome XD. I'm terrible at coming up with names... I only call my enchi lesser by his name "butters" but I feel I need to correct myself and add "the enchi lesser" after saying his name in case people don't get it.... Nobody around me gets it.. I honestly don't know why I bother talking to them about my snakes ...

edit: btw, that's a cute article

I honestly don't understand having a pet if you don't name it... and if the other animals in the zoo have names, then I totally agree with "Mia" and everyone should have a name!

All our names come from books and currently we are on a A.A. Milne streak, so I keep telling my husband that his next snake (probably a stimson's) will be named "Rabbit" or "Owl."
Mostly Leos and Cresties, but also
1.0 Human (wild caught next door, but taming nicely)

I have an ex-boyfriend who named all my goldfish "dog" and "cat" and "canary". I'm glad he's not around to name my snakes...

Huh, mine are too XD Well with the exception of the boa, but she's historical too. My normal male is Ramses, my boa is LeVeau, my carpet is Boudicca, and the babies, which I haven't decided yet, are either going to be Adam and Eve or Perseus and Andromeda, because they're my first breeding pair.

I need to update my signature....
