Worried about my warm end hide, advice needed
So, i'm using this little rock cave as a hide for the warm end (see pic) and in order to make samantha feel more secure (since shes small) i put some sphagnum moss in there to make it feel tighter.
The problem is, the humidty inside the hide is super high. like every time i move the cave, it literally drips water from its ceiling. Is this okay? i keep her tank normally around 50%, right now its at 65% because she's starting her first shed (i think) but this cave has to be close to 100. im worried its going to make her sick.
what should i do? i can't really afford to buy anything else atm (i've already invested about 300$ in the tank, not even counting samantha)

You could always buy a smaller hide. I know you said you couldn't really afford anything new, but these are super cheap:

would it be okay to make one out of an old ham container? if i washed it really good? its one of those little rectangular tupperwares the fancy ham comes in, has a lid and everything.

Any enclosure that has dripping condensation is too moist, unless she just defecated/urinated.
But a humid hide like what you did is perfect for a shed. But it shouldn't be that damp. Between 70-85% is great for sheds.
Perhaps, put less moss into the hide. You can stuff it w/ paper towel or crumpled newspaper to make it feel tighter instead.

i fixed it =) i swapped the hides, so her log is the warm hide, and the cave is cool. i just didnt want her to have to pick the humid hide JUST because its on the warm end.

You can also drain the moss of some water Or take away some moss.

What are you using for substrate? Is that moss on the entire cage floor?
If so that is just asking for belly rot issues as well as mold on the half log.
