Clutchmates
Can you breed clutchmates together?

yes you can, but you shouldn't do it over multiple generations. inbreeding a few times in a blood line won't cause issues (that's how many if not all of the recessive genes were proved out), but past that things could start to get weird.

Yes you can, but you shouldn't make a habit out of it.. My pastel het. axanthics are clutch mates. They will be bread together but all I am shooting for is a pastel axanthic that I can breed to something else in the future.. I don't like to play around in the family too much. Not sure if there are any studies proving any inbreeding issues with ball pythons..

A lot of people do it. I never will. Personally, I just think it's wrong.
My ultimate goal is an Albino Clown Pied.

I try not to inbreed at all but if I have to I will only do it one generation to try to prove something out like I just have a clutch that is ch I didn't breed this female but the babies have a really weird pattern to them spaced out alien head from neck to half there body then the rest of the body has a solid pattern to the tip of the tail kinda like a calico there bellies are clear with lines like pied markers so I'll keep all the females and one male and breed the male with the females to see if it something "co Dom" but I'll also Breed the male to a pastel or something else to see if it's a enhancer or a pattern changer But those clutch mates will be the only gen I'll breed back to each other

I'm not a big fan either and probably never will do so... But there are a lot of morphs that wouldn't exist in captivity if it wasn't for inbreeding.
We tend to put a mammal perspective on it, but it doesn't seem to effect reptiles the same way (at least not as fast)

Well I'm super smart and got two het pieds and it just occured to me they're from the same clutch. Should I write em off and find separate mates or would a clutch or two be ok?

It would be your call if u feel comfortable reeding siblings then go ahead they can technically breed each other as many times and the babies should come out fine but I wouldn't breed a pied baby back to the mom or dad but that's my opinion but u can also do that
