Is something wrong?
Hey everybody. I have 7 eggs in the incubator. Today is day 58 and the eggs still haven't begun to dimple. All show veins and I can observe movement in all 7 eggs. I'm just concerned because the eggs haven't begun to collapse. Should I go ahead and cut the eggs or hold off a while? Thanks for your inputs.

Re: Is something wrong?
You sure it's day 58?! Some eggs never do dimple but I didn't think a whole clutch could. I would cut them already though.

Before you cut, what were your incubation temps?
We've had 2 eggs out of many clutches that never dimpled. We ended up cutting them and found they had extremely deformed babies in them. They candled just fine, but they were messed up.

Re: Is something wrong?
My incubator is holding at 89 F. Humidity is at 99%. I'm using vermiculite in 6 qt tub with press-n-seal per the egg tub sheet on this site. Humidity is measured inside the tub.

Hoping this isn't the case with your clutch.

We've had plenty of eggs that didn't dimple. It could be your high humidity and they are super hydrated. I wouldn't worry just yet and being that it is day 58, cut away if you'd like.

Re: Is something wrong?
I've had eggs not dimple at all, but the others were all dimpled and ready to go... we cut the other eggs first, and then poked a tiny hole into the still plump egg... letting it drain just a little so we could get the tiny scissors in there and make the cut... it's hard to cut when they are still so plump, but it helps to gently poke a tiny hole in it and let some fluid out before making your cuts so you don't hit the little guy inside.
In every case, the baby inside was just fine. in one or two cases, it took the baby a little longer to come out than the others, but it wasn't a problem

Re: Is something wrong?
Well everybody I just cut the eggs and it seems I have 7 babies. They were all squirming around in the eggs. This clutch is cinny by normal. Can't tell yet what's what with them. I'll post more after they come out of the eggs. Thanks to everybody. By the way, I have 3 more clutches of eggs cooking right now. 5 normal by lesser, 5 normal by pastel/cinny (Split clutch) and 4 spider by lesser. can't wait for them all to hatch. Thanks for everybodies advice.
