RE: Help with Animal Plastics racks

So I am looking at my options on new racks and I have a quick question about AP Racks. I did email the company and have not yet got an answer back from them. Feel they are very busy so, I decided to ask you guys. Are their racks all stackable, both the standard and economy racks. And do they make racks that fit vision tubs. Any input would be helpful. Thanks again.

if you order the same tub size rack (say a CB-70 enclosed rack, and a CB-70 economy rack) yes they would stack. but different size tubs/rack/tub brands may or may not stack

Vision makes some tubs that are standard sizes, like the V-70 tub. this is the exact same size as the IRIS CB-70 tub, so it will fit.

AP lists the tub dimensions for each rack on the individual rack pages. So all you have to to is compare the tub dimensions given by AP with the tub dimensions of the vision tubs to see if they will fit.

I would not stack AP racks on each other

The bottom tubs are elevated off the floor and under that is a kick plate.

The bottom is not solid and is just the perimeter of the rack that is plastic if that makes sense

If you're needing custom sizes built, call and talk to Ali. She's such a nice lady and they are pretty accommodating of getting what you want to your door.

I have two of their economy racks and love 'em. i woudl definately call them, they pick up the phone all the time and are easy to talk to. The turn around from order to delivery can be a bit long, but I feel it is worth the wait.

Re: Help with Animal Plastics racks

I guess they could stack but then you would have gaps in between sections due to the bottom tub being elevated off of the floor. You might run into issues running the heat tape as well. It could be done but getting the size you need up from would be much more desirable.

There should be no issues with the heat tape if you stack them. You should use a second thermostat for the second rack.

My AP racks do not have indexing pins like my Boaphile for stacking, but it looks like it would still be plenty stable.

Thanks, To everyone for your help. I didn't check my thread for a day so thanks again. They E-mailed me yesterday and think I will be ordering soon. So probably will just try to buy a 10n heigh or so so I don't have to stack them. Thanks again.

That's what I would do if I were to buy a rack now. Hindsight is 20/20. In case you are looking at cages as well the AP cages do stack well with pins.
