April has been stressful

April sucked and I am not sure May is going to be any better

This has been the worst month for me so far. At the beginning of April I had a huge chunk of money come up missing. This cash was for some very important stuff. but let me start by explaining what has happened. In the garage of our house I keep a about 250-300 rats and mice. But because the house is on the same property as an apartment building, and another house, the landlord uses the garage for storage, so it stays locked up. Only 4 people on this property have a key to the garage. Me, Tommy, the old lady that looks after the property since the land lord lives two hours away. Tommy has a key but I don't see him stealing this money from me, besides he hasn't shown any signs of having extra money then his disabilty check. I know for a fact that the land lord didn't take it. It was about $2400 that was stole. Out of the back of a desk draw. they way the garage is set up one side is for storage then the other side I houses my rats and mice. and a little office. (I have the office down there because when I work on filling orders I will only use that office to conduct business nothing else is to be done down there, and I don't conduct business outside of the office.) Son on April 3rd I went to get what I needed out of the money to pay my rent, get my groceries and to pay my probation fees. I also needed to go get supplies for the rats (new bedding and food). as well as deposit the rest into my bank account so I can do my frozen order. I order from a couple of the frozen suppliers (mice direct and rodent pro) because I sell to three pet stores and and two snake breeders. I was not able to do any of this. my Breeders had to find another source for the month, and I had nothing to really give the pet stores. In order to make back what I lost I would have had to double my prices and I have been cheaper and easier for the breeders and keepers on the island because I am the only place on the island other then pet smart to get feeders from. how ever I don't just sell feeders I sell pet rats and mice as well). one of the pet stores had a 10 brand new rodent cages. that they couldn't sell. So tommy and I got on the ball advertising pet rats. $18 per female $14 for male. with the purchase of one of the cages the rats would be $10 and the cages were sold for $20. Even with all this I still couldn't make back what I lost. I am still trying to pay Aprils rent and bills as well as pay Mays rent. and take care of my probation fees. Right now I am looking at the the fact that I might have to put my reptiles on craigslist just so I can finish paying my bills. This ticks me off in every way there is.

I think I know who it was that stole the money but I can't prove it. Tommys keys went missing the weekend before she left, but I think it was his ex girlfriend. he went down to go feed but came and ask me for my keys. he said he couldn't find his... then same day that I found the cash was gone she moved out. later that night and the next day on face book she was posting how she had just bought a brand new xBox 360, 4 games she has been really wanting. new clothes that where from a pricey store. How ever the guy she moved in with has a good job and does have a little bit of money to his name. So we really don't have proof. How ever she has admitted to stealing before (mostly shop lifting). Tommy found his keys two hours after she moved out. I did file a police report (in order to go talk to the salvation army about assistance for rent in april I had to, but then when I went back the said that they where not doing it right now. Too many people abusing this system of assistance and I am in guinine need of help this really really really really really really hurts me.

I can't move but till but I have plans on doing so if I can make it past May, but I am moving in June. Either to my own house or someone that I know that has the same love and respect for reptiles and the hobby that I have I got a good size stipend check from school on june first. But I actually have to make it to june first and I am not so possitive the me rehoming my snakes is going to give me what I need. or selling off my rats and mice. if any one has any suggestion please post

That absolutely sucks man but there really is no way you can prove it was her unfortunately. In a post you had awhile ago i suggested you kick her and tommy out, or at the very least her. I knew this would end up being trouble for you, she sounded like a real loser. Did she ever see you taking money out of the desk?
I dont really have any advice for you man, i would just follow through with your plan of moving out in june. I would say try amd hold off on selling your animals unless you absolutely have to. Maybe try and rehome/sell a few, but definetly not all of them because that will only make you more depressed. Have you confronted Tommy at all about your suspicions? I mean he seems like a nice guy so it doesnt sound like he did it, but his gf was definetly a scumbag. (im remembering details from your other post: she didnt work, ate all the food, didnt pay for anything, went into your room and touched your snakes, brought weed into your apartment... Did i forget anything lol?). Also i think its good i mention all that about her so other people reading know why youre accusing her, and it doesnt seem so randomn. While you were at work i bet she went snooping around. Especially if the garage was locked, she probably figured there was something valuable in there. and there was....

We where trying to push her out... or at least Max and I was. I kept taking the xbox from her and she didn't like that. but yeah I am still stuck in rut here
