    Question Black Pewters or Fireflies?

Which would you breed for first and why?

Can someone also answer the following questions?
1: Current market price on both combo morphs. $800-$1200?
2: Each combo's breeding possibilities in the future that would make the most profit and produce the most desirable animals.
3: Current popularity within the ball python community of each combo.

FireFlies! Honestly, because I like them best. That's why I would breed for them first...

I think a Fire Fly, because they are pretty popular and you can breed them together to make a BlkEL or a Super Fly. Black Pewter combos also have some nice Super combos as well.

A lot depends on a direction you want to go. A Fire Fly is highlighter animal and a Black Pewter is more a dark morph, so they are on different ends of the spectrum.

    Re: Black Pewters or Fireflies?

Buy one of each a male and female...breed them together and make Fire Fly Black Pewters and sell those and cover both markets....lol
Breed what you want to look at every day and not what sells better...you are the one who has to look at the parents every day you own them so enjoy opening the tub and liking what you see.

    Re: Black Pewters or Fireflies?

I just received my 2012 female firefly earlier today (no pics yet to let her settle in but there will be some soon!), so that's where my vote would go. The superfly are incredible looking animals and if this girl holds her color like her mom and dad did, she'll be a great looking animal as well. My vote would be for the fireflies, personally, but I like the lighter animals in general anyway (BEL's, albino, vanilla, butter, etc. currently in my collection) so that's what I tend to gravitate towards. As far as price, I paid $900 for mine and I think that's pretty consistent with the market for that particular morph as of the present.

    Re: Black Pewters or Fireflies?

I love BP pewters (I have a gorgeous male) and they do have a lot of breeding potential, especially combining ghost. There are also a lot less BP pewters around while fireflies are becoming quite common. Bottom line? Both are very beautiful animals but the BP pewter gets my vote.

Also, I wonder like a firefly x firefly cross would hatch? A superfiresuperfly?
