    Keeping bp's warm while transport

Long story short, I am taking a few of my bp's into my daughter's kindergarten class tomorrow morning. The weather has been in the low 60's at that time of day. It should take about 1 1/2 hrs there and back. I want to make sure they don't get too cold during this little event.

I was thinking of transporting them in individual sacks in a medium sized wheeled cooler. I was thinking warm water bottles at the bottom newspaper between the bottles & the snakes to just make sure they don't over heat.

Does this sound like it would work?

Also about what should the temp of the bottles be? A bit warmer than 90? or right at 90? I am assuming they will cool quite fast so not even sure if it's worth even doing the bottles.

    Thanks as always

Yep - I do the hot water bottle trick all the time when taking snakes to shows in the cooler months. I use a small cooler and place the bagged snakes on one side and the bottle on the other. Or I put the bagged babies in small bags then put them in a 6qt shoebox. I can stack two boxes in my cooler and then put the hot water bottle on one end of the cooler. I try to give them enough room that the can move away from the heat if they want.

You can also pick up the 40 hour heat packs commonly used for shipping (99 cents most of the time) and toss a couple in the cooler. That's what I do when bringing my animals places in cooler weather. They are also commonly available at sports places as "hand warmers" or something similar.
