Awoke from crazy loud grunting noises !

I awoke last night from this loud crazy grunting noises coming from my male pastel ball "Dalton" it sounded like something out of a horror movie. I jumped up turned on the lights and Dalton had his mouth open and looked like he was trying to throw up and he stopped pretty quick after i tuned the light on so i didn't get to see exactly what was happening. So i looked in his cage and saw poo.. The noise i heard is hard to explain but it did not sound like gurgling or wezing so i got on the net and found a few people had the same issue and said it was pasing gas "Farting" was wondering if it is true ? I pulled Dalton out and cleaned his cage he is acting normal. Was wondering if any one else has had this same Horror Farting Nightmare and should i be worried.. Thanks Yall

My orange ghost did that just the other day! He'd pooped earlier in the evening, but a few hours later I heard this WEIRD noise - which I can only describe as sounding like when your toilet's getting low on water. Is that how yours sounded? At first I thought it was my 15yo cat getting sick, since I knew she was sleeping in there... but then my dog ran into the room, and showed me the noise came from Hamlet's tub. The result was a bit of poo spray, but he seems otherwise perfectly fine. Actually think he felt better after getting that out, LOL.

My adult male once did something similar.

This happened after he consumed a slightly larger then usual rat. Spent a few days soaking which i guessed was a result of feeling very full.

Roughly a week after the meal, one night i was woken to a similar "farting" sound. I also got the fright of my life at first.

Turned out to be a large poo, along with loads of liquid. His behavior , normal as always.

Re: Awoke from crazy loud grunting noises !

About less than a week ago I woke up scared in the middle of the night when I heard this dramatically loud farting noise coming from my BP, I caught him in time opening its mouth and slightly lifting its tail. I was SO SCARED I thought my Basil was sick (keep in mind I'm a new snake owner), did the same thing, ran to the net. Very relieved that people say it's normal, definitely will ask the vet for his 2 cents on it when I take Basil up for a regular checkup.
