    Finally gave in...

Alright, for a bit of a background, I fell in love with an albino burmese python years ago which is what got me into keeping/breeding snakes. Since they were bigger than I ever wanted to keep, I found the next best thing, an albino ball python. They were out of my price range back then but now, I figured I'd get one next year since I want to make sure I have my breeders this year (focusing on mojave, pastel, lesser). Went to the reptile show today with the intent to bring home either a lesser female or a pastave male (if I found an outstanding one as he won't be needed for another year yet). First snake to catch my eye though was a high contrast albino girl. Needless to say, I didn't even see a lesser at all and ended up coming home with the albino. Think that I'm going to be switching my breeding plans around a little since I wasn't planning on getting her til next year. Anyways, here she is! Her name is Aria.

She decided to explore a bit while I set up the light tent.

Ball Pythons: 1.1 Pastave (Regulus and Ceti), 0.1 Albino (Aria), 0.1 Lesser (Daenerys), 0.1 Mojave (Sangria), 1.0 Enchi Pastel (Declan), 0.1 Normal (Sydney), 1.0 Lesser pos. het Clown/Pied (Loki), 1.0 het Clown pos. het lavender albino (Liam), 0.2 het Clown (Cara and Milly)

Other: 0.1 Bearded Dragon (Faranth), 0.1 Russian Tortoise (Henry), 1.1 Dogs (Floppy and Lucy), 2.1 Cats (Jack, Brando, and Godiva), 1 Very Understanding Husband

Thanks and I will still be bringing the lesser gene in. I really want a BEL and it's more fun to breed my own than to buy one. Originally, I was going to stay away from the recessives (too many years with corns and nothing but recessives) but I figure if I'm going to have an albino, it might as well be a girl to breed. She'll be going to a pastave boy as soon as she's big enough. Then there will be the holdback projects...

Sharp looking girl you've got there! Heck yeah to the appeal of a good looking albino; my first ball was (still have him) an albino. I love the recessives but I hear you on the time/work involved. Certainly tests your commitment to a project, that's for sure! Great looking girl and congratulations.
