this is why you learn to probe

I had gotten a pair of female het albinos a few years back. Up until reacently I didnt know how to probe or pop. I was watching the pair and noticed that they hit about 1000 grams and sat there. So last night I probed em both to be males. GRRRRR Now I am doubting if they are even het.

I had a kingsnake that the breeder had the gender, species, and morph wrong (I will not try to defend my own ignorance in that purchase). The Female snow brooksi was a male albino het axanthic florida king. when I bought it it was white or very pale yellow when bought but turned bright yellow.

Properly popping is more accurate than probing..

Id never probe as more risk of puncturing, and or false positive readings. Absolutely no way to pop a young male and think its female

Same here, we pop everything and don't even own a probe set.
Learning to pop and see the organs "to me" is much more of a guarantee than a probe.
    Sorry for your misfortune
