    Random Poll...Do You...?

Because I have insomnia and time to think about these sorts of things...

Aw crap...#3 should read, "floss everyday." Not floos. See what I meant about insomnia? Affects your typing.

    *actually

Apparently insomnia also affects your ability to spellcheck...

That last option is the closest for me. I know I should, but I don't guilt myself into it anywhere near enough to make me actually do it. Somehow at 33 years old, I still have all of my teeth! Well, ok, except the 4 that were surgically removed. Stupid wisdom teeth, I remember their removal quite unfondly.

I floss before, that way the tooth paste can get in-between the teeth better (or at least that's what I tell myself lol)

I floss before for much the same reason as Aaron mentioned. Lol. How can a toothbrush adequately clean between teeth if there's gunk in the way. Seems logical.

I also floss before. It really doesn't make sense to floss after brushing. If you do it before, you've removed the stuff between your teeth so the toothbrush bristles can get deeper between them as can the tooth paste.

Think about it. If you go a couple days without flossing that gunk in between your teeth actually stinks when you floss it out.. Wouldn't you want to get that stuff out before brushing? Otherwise you're just brushing around it. Then if you floss afterwards, you're not actually cleaning in between your teeth.

Not to mention the mouthwash. I use PLAX or the Walmart generic version of it since you use it before you brush to get the plaque off your teeth. If I run out and have to brush without it i still have a scummy feeling in my mouth and my teeth don't feel as clean.

So... I floss, then use the PLAX, then brush. That way I get all the buildup out from between teeth.

I floss intermittently throughout the day because I'm terrible about brushing. My dentist told me that if she had the choice to floss or brush for the rest of her life (she was very sure to tell me both were necessary though ) she'd floss. It's easy for me to do and keeps my teeth from getting gunked up, I just dislike the feeling of food in my teeth. Brushing happens most of the time! It's just distracting when I've got rats thawing, mixing a new batch of CG diet, cleaning a tub.... y'know
