    Genetics help please..

    Hey what's up people...

I'm kinda stuck on this, I've looked online to see if I could find a answer but nothing direct so I come here...

Question is.. If I breed a spider 100% het albino x normal 66% het albino female.. What will be produced out of that..??

In reality she either is or is not het Albino. So as far as production you have 2 scenarios. The best being that she IS and you have a 1/8 chance for the Albino Spider, if she is not, you have just more diluted possible hets.

I am sure there is math to get to your percentages, but it is really kinda moot IMO. This is why I would only ever use a visual to try to prove a ph, as you could miss for years with het to ph.

Well if the 66% het Proves to be Het for albino, then this will be your outcome:

If the 66% het Proves to be just a normal, then this would be the outcome:

    Re: Genetics help please..

Oh ok.. I see what you guys are saying.. Well the story behind her is she was produced from het to het breeding both 100% and i got genetics guaranteed on her from a breeder out in Florida.. She's at 1300 empty at the moment so I'm hoping for her to go later this year so that's why I was asking to see what would be a better mate for her..

I thank you guys very much

Go for it! I've produced both albinos and pieds from pairs where both parents where possible hets. I've also proven two possible het hypos. Of course only the albino was a blind shot since the pied and hypo possible hets showed. The only way you know for sure you will not hit is if you don’t try.

Yeah I think I'm gonna give it a shot, I just wanna get the chance to produce something else nice..not really looking to try and breed to sell and make money... Later this month I should get some eggs from a het pied x bee and normal x bee
